As much as I enjoy 90% of what is presented on You Tube I have a very hard time watching any complete story. My reason for my problem is I JUST CANNOT TOLARATE WATCHING THE HUMAN SIDE OF THE RETELLING THEIR STORY. By the by this tory teller could not even get the proper name of his destination. He called it " TrainWorld, " when in reality it is TRAINLAND. OH WELL so much for the nice ride on a highway I haven't seen or been on in 60 +/- years. LCG

I grew up near Trainland and absolutely loved this store.

I have been going to trainland since I was seven in 1956…. I have since moved to South Carolina and appreciate the trip along southern state parkway to lynbrook. Always an exciting trip to trsinland

Very nice! Those are some cool cars. Like all of the 'newer' ballast hoppers, the prototypes are GPS controlled, so they are very precise on how the ballast is distributed. It's too bad that they don't simulate how they work on the job, which would be interesting. Your layout is looking great and I've always liked prototypical operation, which makes it enjoyable to watch.. An excellent video, as always.

That brings up memory's I have not been to trainland in a long time, I understand trainworld is still on McDonald Ave but they only mail order now. They are one of the best in the city.

That was a fun video RJ. Those rapid discharge hoppers were developed by the Georgetown Railroad down here for hauling rock out of the Texas Crushed Stone quarry. Does Amtrak still have any of those in orange?

Very nice selection of these Maintenance Of Way hopper cars for Amtrak. I have O scale as well HO scale, N scale to. I want to visit Trainland myself I live in New York City. Great presentation. 👍

The Amtrak ones really grew on me, they’ll look great behind that GP38 once it comes out. Enjoy!

I recently went to New York back in July visiting from Texas, and I really wanted to visit Trainworld in NYC but I was in Syracuse at the time and would have been too far for a drive in my rental car as I didn't have a toll device. Perhaps in the future if I go back I will definitely visit.

I remembered when those ballast cars,were painted Orange,and were upgrading the Corridor in the 70's and 80's! How time does fly! Thank you! I just subscribed, RJ, and I'm really happy that Trainland/Trainworld in Lynbrook still exists. It's been decades since I was there... moved from NY to PA many years ago and had to abandon my HO layout. If you're ever at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, let me know. I volunteer there at least once a month and would enjoy meeting another railfan. Great videos!
